His Promise

As the weekend of Pilgramage to Portal came to a close, we were blessed with an affirmation of God’s covenant with us.  As you see here this is a rainbow.  This picture is taken out the backdoor of Tim & Katie Mather’s backdoor.  The end of the rainbow is sitting right in Portal, GA.  We believe that God has made a new promise with us, never again to bring destruction to our race (or family).

It is a new time.  Download this picture a set it for your background as a reminder of God’s Promises.

His Promise

Worship: A Paradigm Shift

Worship @ PortalWhen we first made the leap out of traditional church we struggled with how to present our worship to the Lord without playing in a worship team. It was uncomfortable to have a band play in the home church meetings. We did not want to start a new church or even rent a space to hold corporate worship. Most home churches to not have people able to play and lead the group into God’s presence. Part of our coming out of the church structure and performance mentality, was laying down our ideas about what worship “should” look like, with it’s professional worship team, sound system, and even lights. That our weekly “worship time” should be, well, a show. Yet, Father in His gentle way, removed any opportunities to play professional worship. When we made the leap from traditional church, it was time to detox from the the high of professional worship.

After about five years and through a series of significant moments, workshops and such, the Lord has brought healing to those areas and a restoration of anointing and vision for corporate worship. It doesn’t look or feel the same. It is organic and free flowing. It looks different every single time. Even our concept of worship has changed. We have learned of the word for worship from the Hebrew Avodah. This word Hebrew word Avodah is three fold, worship is the study of scripture, worship is the work of our hands and finally worship is occupying our minds with Him and His great works.

Apparently worship is to be a part of our very existence. We worship as we work. We worship as we read and learn about Him from scripture. We worship as we occupy our minds with His great works. This is where music comes into play. Worship music helps to guide our minds into the place where we can see, hear and feel the Holy Spirit where we can occupy our minds with His presence. Now I can use my music not to lead, but to serve my purpose to the world.

Hearing and Seeing Father

Jesus is alive and sits at the right hand of Father in heaven yet he sent his Holy Spirit to be here in His absence. His Holy Spirit opens our eyes and our ears to Father’s voice. It brings us to a place emotionally and physically where we can see, feel and hear Him. The Holy Spirit is our connection to the Father, to His plans and purposes for our life.

PILGRAMAGE TO PORTAL

Pilgramage to Portal

We have had the privilege to attend the Pilgramage to Portal this weekend in Portal, GA. It is a gathering of believers wanting to know more about home church and prophetic deliverance and such. Our purpose in gathering is to experience God’s presence in a whole new way.

We are so blessed to be children of God. He has put out His hand for us and we can step freely into His presence. Music is a path to meet God in the here and now. The sounds, the words can help us close off our reality and suspend our logical self and really press into that wonderful place of freedom in our spirits. Our senses become hightened and we can truly see a glimpse of Father’s true love for us.
